Spiritual Support Accomplishments
Yes, You make a difference. Make your impact on the world today.
Our original work in Kenya was a more traditional missionary model. We came and spoke at churches, hosted pastor’s conferences and revivals, and spoke at ordination ceremonies for ministerial training organizations. Our first trip to Kenya, in 2008, we also engaged in extensive restorative justice and internal conflict resolution work. Many families were split apart, had experienced the death of loved ones, destruction of personal property and displacement to internal displaced persons camps after the post-election disturbances. We also helped develop restorative justice and conflict resolution training material with the Kenyan Pastoralist Network (KPN). We’re still in close contact with the co-founder of KPN, although our recent support has been non-financial.
Where Your Donation Goes
Rather than seeking to build up a single church or network of churches, our current work is geared toward building up the pastors who minister in what Kenyans call “Elevation” churches. Churches that preach transformation and the positive uplifting messages of Bible-based Progressive Christian and New Thought ministries. We still preach and speak in Kenya every chance possible, using Kenyan translators, training new ministers in new thought principles, uplifting community-based churches, translating inspirational books into Swahili, leading book-study groups, and having local Kenyan pastors speak weekly in Kenya and working to bring our associate minister, Pastor George, to the U.S. to speak. We’ll also be speaking at the first ever New Thought conference in Kenya, in January 2020.
